MorningExcerpt: MAY12Morning
I stretched as I woke. The sun flitted in through the crimson curtains, filling me with a warm feeling. Even matted, the light gave my exposed skin a glow so pure, like hot cocoa running down my throat on a cool day. I stretched my neck as far upwards as possible, knocking it off the headboard. I recoiled, significantly more awake then previous to losing a few brain cells. Finally, I did the hard part, and opened my eyes. As usual, the first parts of a second filled my eyes with pain and light. I blinked a few times, and forced myself to turn over.
