Can we sit under the stars tonight?
After the sun has gone to sleep
And when the moon comes out to dance
His smile will light up the way to you
Miles apart, you're always in my heart
We'll lie under the same sky
But will you see what I do?
See the light across the sky
And know what it means
The shooting stars in the sky are like the beams of love from my heart
Both reaching out to meet you, you're the sky to my horizon
Incomplete without the other
My heart in your hands
And yours in mine as well
With mirrored intentions
Will they be fulfilled?
For just one moment I held your hand
As we lay under a sea of stars
A life time in seconds, you took my breath
And now once again, we lie alone while we wait
The stars will mimic our song forever
And I'll listen to the sweet lullaby
Your heart beat for mine
And in my dreams I'll keep it safe till next we share
